Now, the classified apple dwarfing rootstocks in use are really originated in the era before Christ, then historically briefed on it´s nature.
And general formula of apple dwarfing rootstocks, that is, E. M & M. M. and others, is introduced from the point of view of their common characteristics(1) precocity and early bearability, colour and size, and russetting propensity etics. (2) adaptability to natural environment.
Accordingly, to realize it´s value for fruit growers, growers productivity and investment per unit area is compared with standard rootstocks apple growing which is resulted from 7 or 9 years experience.
Consequently, this study proves that the knowledge and technics for good fruit grower is to come, and technical labor saving is available particulary for small unit fruit growers in Korea rather than emphaizing on the agricultural mechanization from the view point of agricultural developing stage. and seedling propagation should not be worked further for experimental orchard, because of their genetical error in test performances.
I would say dwarf rootstocks of world interest is studied preliminary, and this is based on the observation and investigation in the very place, East Malling Research Station England in 1961.
